The very lovely birthday--Nate's 4th~!
Of course, mommy totally overdid it on the cake! Three layers with fluffy 7-minute icing! You can see from the grave countenance of Ms. Nora (seated to the right) and little Devan that this was a very serious matter! Nate basically shoveled as fast as he could, and then Matt refilled (!) his plate with MORE cake!! MMMM....then we had plenty left over to eat for days and days!!!

Most everyone had a little pizza before the cake, but the chairs were too big for most of the kids and we were short on space--next time we'll need a spare table outside, too. So much fun throwing a party!
What a fun party! Aren't you lucky to be able to have it outside in December. Lots of work for Mom and Dad, but he's only four once. How time flies.
