Sweet Potato Pie!

With about half the sugar it called for, with lotsa mashed sweet potatoes!
That last photo is by Nate, as is the one of the sunny window in the other post. Mommy put about half the sugar the recipe calls for , and it came out great--no recipe needed, really!

Nate's appetite is soaring--of courses he occasionally asks for a hot dog, thanks to Big School for that, but he also likes rice and yogurt. When he's hungry he tries to eat the raw broccoli in Whole Foods.

Made spaghetti and meatballs (turkey, 'natch) and Nate complained they weren't perfectly round, but he tried some nonetheless. He gave twirling spaghetti a try, too! Very cute! He still asked for granola for dinner, though, luckily he eats lots of almond butter and good granola and likes cheese occasionally.

Your kitchen must be very organized to be able to produce a pie.
Nate looks so happy to be toiling away. Rewards later.

We are getting there--the sink is so ridiculously small we have to do the dishes constantly (waste of time, IMHO) and the oven on warms it up nicely now that it's cold (well, 55 and 45 at night). Baby and I had a light supper of pita bread, carrots, hummus, yogurt and bread sticks (yummy ones with seeds) and a little tomato, then PIE! Nate is looking forward to making cake for daddy's b-day tomorrow...

By the looks of him, Nates getting taller by the second -- no wonder his appetite is on full alert! What a healthy little guy. Good food obviously agrees with him.
