A few photos of the new pad...

The bike in the hallway...cat shown for scale. It is a very long walk down the hallway, past the pile of junk (and new Craigslist shelf $20 whoo-hoo) to go get a snack if one is in the front room! And of course Nate usually has a fistful of nails, a hammer, or daddy's scissors in the bathroom...
Mommy has always wanted a hutch--and Matt found this one at the Alameda flea mrkt. It sure was flea-ish, mommy had to clean it with a mixture of Murphy's and bleach due to the mouse poo. The kitchen table, barely visible, was an awesome deal but needs to be jacked up with a newel on each leg. It is too short to sit at! All the rugs are greatly improving the cheap, very sheddy carpet. The big rug is due back from the cleaner's this week, and I will match drapes to it best I can, and get rid of the rest of the (very dirty) metal shades. Moho, I may end up with gold curtains!
That's the back kitchen door innocent of a proper coat of paint...needs one and then a poster will brighten things up. I have blue paisley fabric waiting to be turned into kitchen curtains, the blue will be nice.

Shaping up in no time at all!
Brava on your furniture find. That is really something sweet - to keep in one room or another from now on.
The hutch is definitely a kitchen item! Our cabinets, as you can see, are horrifying, and hold very little. We have neat pantry shelves, but they are getting crowded...you had to see Nate putting all his toys in there when we got it home...too cute!
