Will you look at these two?
Daddy has to make a hugambous big square fort with parapets and look-out towers and a mighty moat. Some surfer girls dubbed it some awesome surfer-girl name and others scrambled for their cameras once it was done! Yes, we are there for the tourists!
Too bad we couldn't stay for the flooding of the moat!
No pants on Nate due to an early adventure in the surf--not quite hot enough out for a full dunking, however.

It looks like a wonderful day to go to the beach! And look at all that sand!
It's enough to set everyone to work on building moats and towers and huge holes in the ground.
That was a great beach, nice and big and not too crowded, lots of surfers and windsurfers to watch, too. It's near Pescadero on the coast north of Santa Cruz, really nice spot.
A Christmas wish from the old folks: we never seem able to print out pictures from the blog, so we'd like to request a set of these beach pictures for Christmas. What a great day for all of you.
