Nate Carter, Birthday Photographer

Nate's current Favorite Thing in the Whole World is no longer the Car Wash Machine and all it entails (the brushes go around and around! the driers!) but all things related to birthdays, which is nice for actual birthdays, and we are practicing for a school chum's on the 8th, but playdoh and a candle will do for now. Mommy sings a verse from the Gabba Gabba Birthday episode and Nate chimes in and sings a line. He is very good at taking turns singing, and especially loves trading off lines with Mommy while dining. He can entertain himself very well by now with his Playdoh set, dumping out the whole thing, finding a favorite color (as near to chocolate as possible) and creating his cake all by himself, having a terrific time, carrying around said cake, taking its picture, pretending to eat it, offering some to me, it's all good times.

Glad to know about this -- we'll have to look for some great birthday accessories you can use anytime. Pre-schoolers can celebrate holidays anytime and still enjoy the festivities when that once-a-year date comes around.
Whoever invented play-doh should get some sort of fabulous award for long-term creative entertainment for all kids ages 2 or 3-13 or so. Dad could make something, too. It could be relaxing.
