Beach time!

The wadi! The wadi gets you!
Nate spent the first evening in Florida wondering about how fierce the surf would be, if it would come in the house, and "don't get too close to the wadi" and various other sentiments in the same vein.

As soon as we schlepped him to the beach, he was fine. He didn't get too close at first but soon was in the surf!
The beaches on the island are amazing soft white sand and the shells from which they are made. Lots of good shelling to be had.
Grandpa and Grandma were troopers and came out with no deck chairs. The wind was rather fierce some of the time we were there (think "windswept island") and we hid in the house and the library a lot of the first few days. But look at that sunshine! The light was really incredible.

Nate makes a sand castle -- then, boom! All down. What else are castles for at this age!
