Elephant's Trunk!
In this weirdly warm Santa Ana wind weather, Nate gets to play "water comes out of the elephant's trunk" and water mommy's lettuce starts at the same time. Also planted some thyme, too, yummy in chickie soup.
We came home after a very short time at the little playground, since we both have nasty colds again. Darn you, Winter! The air has been really smoggy here too, Mommy feels like she got sick after a smoggy evening run, with reddish hazy hills...smells like cars outside.
Pretty much everything is fair game for games, Nate especially likes to play "going on an airplane," since we picked up Daddy from the airport last week. It was Daddy's first extended absence, and Nate was getting ticked-off by the end of the week. Daddy had a blast in NYC. Little does Nate know he's going on an airplane with us in a couple of weeks!
We also like to play "where is Birdie?" in which the precious stuffed animal "Birdie" goes missing--usually on purpose. Birdie also needs frequent rescuing, usually involving a complicated climb over the sofa.
Someone is also MUCH better at doing Playdoh, thanks to his new enormous birthday set. Finally he can make a "cake" and cut himself a piece all on his own. Very relaxing stuff, playing with Playdoh, but I love to see Nate doing it on his own and relaxing, rather than mommy directing him.

The weather here is the coldest we have had since 1976. The weather is always a surprise - no matter how many winters.
Moho is an industry for the neighborhood - having to pay to be dug out almost everyday this week and last. Moho spreads the salt and cleans off the car, again and still.
Bally's pool was warm - not too warm, and Aunt S. and Moho dog paddled laps for almost an hour.
