Off to see 'edo' with Daddy

I keep explaining to the little guy that his audience demands new photos, and to let the mommy paparazzi snap a few but it's that darned flash--must disable.
But here is the Muckster, getting into some 'hockey hair' alright, and outgrowing that handy jacket (into Grandma C's new red one and new sweatsuit--cute! thanks, grandma) and ready to go to giant Whole Foods with Daddy, whilst mommy awaits the latest pumpkin bread loaf. Not the most efficient way to eat squash, but it's something.
Lots of new Mucky adventures both real and imaginary--we finally made it back to Mt. Tam and hiked 2 miles to the beach, got on a hang glider over to the shore, and kayaked back home. Alright, we only visited the (windy!) beach and hightailed it back to the trail for a short hike. Nate demanded "water in the creek" and we managed to find some water for him on the trail (phew!). It was a perfect day and half of N. Cal. was there on the busy trail.
Back home, Nate likes to pretend he's splashing in the creek--he reaches his feet down off of the kitchen bench and says "don't get your feet wet!" then pretends to slide into the water and stamps his feet "splashing!"
Mommy also has to be careful with playing "here comes the whistle," as a sinister-sounding "here...it...comes!here comes the whistle!" will elicit a "NOOOOO!!" from Nate as he looks for the choo-choo train in the hall! Also, almost anything is a good "tunnel" that has any kind of roof.

Time for swimming lessons?
Dear Nate,
Grandma likes your new pictures. Mommy sends the pictures on the computer and they all get hung up on the refrigerator. Hurrah.
Love, Grandma
Yes, time to swim this summer!! Last year he was still too tiny and scared--mommy takes him to the pool in May (can it be May next month already, oy!).
Those are close-ups, too, from Adobe photoshop, as mommy had to stand far away to get a shot. A little blurry. I'll give it another try today, and get some cuteness.
Sent off three Yo Gabba and one Sesame Street via DHL ( courtesy of Aunt Sandra).
OH good, thanks Moho, thanks aunty Sandy.
We have head colds again so Nate just wants to rest (and watch tv) today. Mommy has to remember not to push him to go out so he can get better. Mommy tried to get him to watch Wallace and Gromit--WAY too scary! He ran from the room and yelled "turn it off!"
Moho: notice the quotes get worse/less funny as the prince ages:

oops, that really didn't come through. Google "prince philip quotes" and you'll get the wikipedia page. The guy is just nuts.
Love the "hocky hair" and the water games. Good think he'll get to go to the pool soon. He's at a perfect age to learn to swim.
